Thanks for the report, Jimmy. No need to be concerned that it might have been too unflattering. Most folks want the best value for their money, and are seeking honest, unvarnished user opinions.

It was also helpful that you described your complete signal chain. Please let us know how the SWR Strawberry Blonde works out for you.

Thanks again.

Hi guys, I got the SWR Strawberry Blonde amp yesterday and plugged her in (BTW,the box said FMIC on the side-Fender...hope they don't screw up a graet amp). I left all of the EQ's flat and went straight from my 2001 Taylor 712C (no onboard EQ) to the amp. It sounded beautiful. No harshness whatsoever, no honk, just a smile on my face. I've used hammer ons, pull offs, tapping, harmonics, fingerstyle and hard playing...all to my satisfaction. I also went to harmonycentral.com and read all of the reviews of the amp, among others. This would be a great site to go to and check out what others have to say. Thank you to all for your input and patience, it's appreciated. Jim
P.S. As soon as the warranty is up I will install a tilt system to the amp. I did like the one on the Fishman, but if I put that one on, it would be in the way. Maybe a Fender design.

Yup, I'm glad JimmyZs happy with the SWR.

And I don't mean to run this into the ground, but with my setup, (Collings, Sunrise) I liked the Loudbox, I've done 5 gigs with it and I'm still happy with the Fishman.

I would suggest folks include the Fishman in their acoustic amp quest to see if it might work for them. At $525 I think it's a good deal, the downside is it's a one trick pony with one input just for guitar.

I never hear anything about the Washburn wa-30. I am beginning to feel I may have made the wrong choice. Do anyone have any experience with this amp.

Thanks Ron
