EMG ACS Pickup And Ultrajack
EMG is introducing two accessories for acoustic guitarists: the ACS active acoustic guitar pickup ($149) and the Ultrajack stereo output jack ($24). The ACS pickup, which mounts across the guitar's soundhole, features adjustable polepieces and a volume control, and includes an output jack, battery holder, and internal cabling. The Ultrajack fits into a guitar's endblock and utilizes spring contacts that fully surround the terminals of the plug. Tightening an internal screw causes four ball bearings to expand and hold the jack in place. The Ultrajack provides stereo output so that two pickup sources can be combined, and its internal contacts can also switch on a battery when a plug is inserted.
