Gaelic Roots brings some of the world's finest Celtic performing artists to campus toteach and entertain during a week-long immersion in traditional Irish, Cape Breton, and Scottish music and dance. Beppe Gambetta's Annual Guitar Summer Stage for New Acoustic Guitar

Ambroz (near Kranj), Slovenia, July 29-Aug. 5. Tuition: $175; R&B: $175;, children 3-12: $90. Ages: 14 and up. Requirements: knowledge of guitar basics and tablature (no guitar beginners). Enrollment size: three groups of ten students. Music styles: bluegrass/country, flatpicking, traditional folk, modern folk. Accomodations: motel/hotel.

In a simple mountain hotel. Hotel Slatnar, in beautiful north Slovenia. A week dedicated to flatpicking art (traditional, progressive, and European roots). Course structured to suit participants. Some students come with their families. Students from eight to ten different countries participate in evening jam sessions, concerts, open mics, and a contest. Common language is English. Georgia Strait Guitar Workshop
