Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton to Share Stage at Grammy Awards
Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton will perform together at the Grammy Awards on January 26th.
This performance featured on the awards show, which airs live on CBS, was conceived by producer Ken Ehrlich for the purpose of getting engaged with relief efforts for the tornadoes that hit Texas and Oklahoma back in May. Furthermore, the show will be Merle Haggard's first Grammy performance, even though Haggard won a 1984 Grammy for "That's the Way Love Goes" for best male country vocal performance.
Kristofferson, whose 1970 album Kristofferson was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame, was also recently selected to receve the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Above, here's a video of Kristofferson performing his hit "Me and Bobby McGee."
