Dave Rawlings Machine Announces Summer Dates
The Dave Rawlings Machine's 2013 lineup is turning on the gears again this summer--but fans of the Americana virtuoso will only have six chances to catch the band in all its acoustic glory.
The Machine revs up June 18 in Boulder, Colorado, and winds up its early summer stint on June 27 at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium. Rawlings' signature picking will be accompanied on the mini tour by such machine-greasers as Gillian Welch, John Paul Jones, Willie Watson and Paul Kowert. (Fan club pre-sale for the tour starts March 20. General sales begin March 21.)
DRM released its debut record A Friend of a Friend (Acony) in November 2009; the well-reviewed release was the solo debut of Rawlings, the guitarist, producer, singer-songwriter best known for his work with Gillian Welch and Old Crow Medicine Show.
The full six stops include June 18 at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado; June 24 at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri; June 25 at the Sheldon in St. Louis, Missouri; June 26 at the Brown Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky; and June 27 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
