Player’s Choice Awards: Banjos, Mandolins, and Ukuleles

You can’t throw a party without diversity—and AG readers diversified their Player’s Choice Award portfolios by weighing in on their favorite banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles. Here are the results:

BANJOS

A cousin of the lute, there are many styles of these diminutive instruments—the archtop is most commonly associated with American folk music.

Portable, affordable, and irresistibly fun to play, “ukes” have grown beyond their Polynesian origins and are now more popular than ever.
