Acoustic Guitar magazine and the Martin Guitar Company have teamed up to give you a chance to win a 000C-28 Andy Summers Signature Edition Martin Guitar (retail price $5,999).
From the sonic textures of the Police to the jazzy contemporary sound of his solo work, Andy Summers is a true guitar innovator.
To better meet his onstage needs, Summers worked closely with Martin and produced a guitar that plays well, overcomes the classic problems of acoustic amplification, and has a distinctive visual appeal.
The top is crafted from Italian alpine spruce, renowned for warmth, balance, and impressive dynamic range. East Indian rosewood back and sides add outstanding projection, and a one-piece genuine mahogany neck contributes structural strength and stability. The fingerboard is made of black ebony and inlaid with mother-of-pearl position markers.
The 000C-28 Andy Summers Signature Edition is a player’s delight. The short 24.9-inch scale, 1¾-inch nut width with modified low oval neck profile, and low action allow for easy fretting, even on difficult chords. The Fishman Ellipse Blend electronics with a mic/under-saddle pickup combination allow effortless amplification.
Delivered in a Geib-style hardshell case, each Martin 000C-28 Andy Summers Signature Edition guitar bears an interior label personally signed by Andy Summers and Martin Chairman C.F. Martin IV.
