L.R. Baggs’ Lyric Mic Celebrates New Technologies
In an age where many guitarists turn to pickups as their amplification tool of choice, the microphone is still the most accurate way to amplify your acoustic sound. However, using a microphone effectively requires attention to detail, a good sound system, and a relatively quiet performance environment, so it’s often the case that using one for live performances is not considered an option. Until now.
The Lyric™ Acoustic Microphone by L.R. Baggs is a featherweight microphone that’s high-graded for ideal response. The next step in Tru•Mic technology, Lyric mounts to the underside of the bridge plate with simple peel-&-stick adhesive to preserve the integrity of your instrument. The mic leverages the "pressure-zone" principle by positioning the capsule just 3mm from the surface of the top to hear the entire soundboard for even balance and tone. Its proximity to the top also allows high gain before feedback. Lyric employs patent-pending noise canceling technology that rejects "boxy" reflections inside of the acoustic chamber, enabling the mic to deliver a performance that’s as clear and open as any you’d get from a mic positioned outside the guitar.
What is more, the design is completely unobtrusive. All of these technological features are neatly packaged in a discreet, high-fidelity mic preamplifier with soundhole volume control. The Lyric is a highly-intelligent and inconspicuous system that will serve as an integral part of your guitar-playing experience anytime you plug in.
