General interests include Bible/inspirational reading, local history, motorsports, travel; earliest musical roots in jazz (studied with a then-teenage Jack Wilkins when I was a kid - I'm still an archtop junkie), folk revival, and Brill Bullding/Phil Spector-era pop; currently playing/singing CCM/praise & worship, '50s/60s (rockabilly, Motown/Atlantic R&B, first-wave British Invasion, Ventures, doo-wop, late-era harmony groups [Four Seasons, Jay and the Americans, Drifters, Tokens, etc.]), Celtic/Irish traditional, classic Country, and neo-traditional folk (Schooner Fare, Dramtreeo, etc.)...

My Guitars & Gear

Getting back into electric (and back to my roots) after a long hiatus - playing a Godin CW Kingpin II, Carlo Robelli '53 ES-5 copy, and LP Studio '60s reissue (w/P-90's) through a hot-rodded Bugera V22 (the Robelli for jazz, the LP for CCM/country/rock - does the Ventures better than Mosrite, BTW - and the Godin for everything else); laying down the bottom end for my church worship team with an '02 Ibanez SR405 5-string, '07 SG Faded, and '11 Gretsch 5123B, and cranking out gospelgrass on a Gold Tone BG-250 banjo...
