D'Addario EXP13 80/20 Bronze, .011-.052
personally, i think these sound a little less brittle than the standard phosphor bronze.

Thanks Lawrence, I'll give these a try. So far my favorite has been the Newtones. Hard to find but worth the effort.

D'Addario EJ16 .012-.053 Phosphor Bronze. Bass-y enough for alt bass and bright enough for the trebles and right for the thinner neck on my guitar.
