SORE FINGERS

John Sisney

SORE FINGERS

A trick I found for sore fingers is to rub a little Anbesol on the tips of your fretting hand , let it set for about 5 mins. wipe off and keep jammin'. This really works when you are first starting out. Let's you keep playing so you can get those good callouses.

That is the greatest tip ever. I was going to switch my strings out to the Martin Silk & Steel to see if that helped but I'm going to try this as well.

I found two problems. The first bring sore fingers as John mentioned. The second is calloused that are so thick you cant feel the strings. They can even catch strings as you move around the fingerboard. I solve both by using a good aloe enriched hand cream. Herbalife and Goldbond seem to work well.
